Fantasmic

Planning my days for my upcoming Disney vacation. I'm confused with the time of park closing. For example in October 27 says Hollywood Studios closes at 8pm, but Fantasmic starts at 8pm and the Star Wars fireworks at 8:30pm. Isn't the park closed?

Hello Desiree, thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.

You are going to have a fabulous time at the Walt Disney World Resort this fall. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of my favorite Disney Theme Parks because of my love of all things Star Wars. Yes, you are correct, Disney’s Hollywood Studios closes at 8:00 p.m. Closing time is when the lines of rides and attractions close and are no longer open to guests. If you were to be in line for a ride like Slinky Dog Dash prior to the park’s closing time, you would still be able to ride as long as you remained in line.

Personally, I cannot think of a better way to end my day at this park with a viewing of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular or Fantasmic! You will still be able to enjoy these shows in their entirety before leaving the park. The schedules are created so these magnificent shows will not overlap with each other. Fantasmic! will allow you to experience Mickey’s dreams as he triumphs over evil. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular is a pyrotechnic spectacular that will take you to a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. The Force will be strong with you as you end your night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I hope that helps to answer your question. If you need any more help before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

May the Force be with you,
    Andrea
