planning a 6 day trip the week of Thanksgiving 2014 with my husband and 8 year old daughter. my husband is not as excited about our family trip as I am- I am planning on the Polynisian Resort- I need ideas/tips to make this vacation fun for him too.

    Hi Megan ~

Sometimes men think Disney is all about Princesses and is geared toward younger kids. Once you convince him there are things he'll enjoy too, he may become more excited.

If your husband likes to golf, you could book a round of golf for him on one of the awesome championship golf courses located at Disney World.

If he's more into fishing, perhaps he'd enjoy a guided fishing excursion on one of Disney's beautiful lakes.

Some guys have a need for speed and if your husband is one of those, than the Richard Petty Driving Experience or an Exotic Driving Experience may be a great surprise for him.

Another great adrenaline rush is parasailing at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It offers an amazing view high above the Magic Kingdom.

I think your whole family would enjoy the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom.

My husband is a singer so he really enjoyed the Sunday Gospel Brunch at Crossroads at the House of Blues.

Take the time to explore the Disney website as a family so your husband can see all of the great places to eat and things to do. Let him be involved in the planning. Once he sees it and your daughter's excitement, chances are he'll get more excited too.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your questions. We're hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
