We are planning my daughters first Disney Trip, with both sets of grandparents. What is the best way for us to do fast passes? We don't want to do everything together, but there are a few, plus how do I make sure we are able to do them together?

    Hi Jocelyn,

Happy New Year! I am thrilled to greet a fellow North Carolinian! Hooray for first trips to the Walt Disney World Resort! How exciting that both sets of grandparents can join you.

Hopefully, you have already created a My Disney Experience Account and linked all of your family members using the "My Family & Friends List." If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, also link your resort hotel reservation. Doing so will ensure that you can make your Fast Pass+ selections 60 days prior to your trip. Also be sure to link theme park tickets for everyone. Then, once you start making Fast Pass+ selections, you should be able to select any member of your party when choosing an attraction.

For those rides that you want to experience together, just select everyone in your party, then choose an available time. Once you confirm that time in My Disney Experience, everyone will have the same ride time window for that attraction. You will just need to make sure they all get there at the right time! If folks want to do different attractions, you can also make separate Fast Pass+ selections for them in My Disney Experience.

Jocelyn, keeping track of everyone's Fast Pass+ plans can be a challenge, however, if they all have different plans. When we have traveled as an extended family, we typically do the same Fast Pass+ selections, so I basically keep track of where everyone is supposed to be when! You may want to make sure everyone in your family has their own My Disney Experience Accounts that are linked to your account. Then, they can have access to their own itineraries. Of course, since everyone does not have a smartphone and since technology occasionally goes down, I always print a hard copy of the itinerary!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
