Planning my daughter 4th bday for next year , what's the difference between a standard inside room vs a deluxe?

Welcome aboard, Elizabeth! What a wonderful way to celebrate your daughter's fourth birthday! Captain Mickey and his friends will make her birthday the most magical one ever when you set sail with Disney Cruise Line!

No matter which stateroom you choose for your cruise, you'll be treated to world class accommodations, so don't worry! There are a few differences between the Standard Inside Stateroom and the Deluxe Inside Stateroom though. The first being the size. The Standard is 184 square feet, while the Deluxe offers more room at 214 square feet. Both could include an upper berth pull down bed if your party has four guests. Otherwise it would be a queen bed with a fold out sofa to sleep three. But, the big difference is that most of the Deluxe Inside Staterooms include a split bath. Disney Cruise Line's split bathrooms are brilliant! One bathroom includes the tub and shower with a sink, and the other bathroom has the toilet and another sink. I can tell you from lots of experience with four of us in our stateroom that having those two separate bathroom areas makes it very convenient, especially in the late afternoon after a fun day in port when we're all trying to get cleaned up for dinner at the same time.

The Standard Inside Stateroom has a single bathroom. Depending on how many guests will be in your stateroom, this might be just fine for your needs. Take a look at the Stateroom Comparisons on Disney Cruise Line's website where you can select up to three different stateroom types to compare side by side. Oh, and if you're traveling on the Disney Dream or Fantasy, those inside staterooms have an added feature of a Magical Porthole which offers real-time views of the outside as if you had a real porthole. Plus, Disney characters magically pop into the porthole screen to visit every now and then. Such fun! Have fun planning!
