I am planning a cruise on the Dream in December, and I will have three little ones with me. Will it be too loud on Deck 10 for possible naps and bedtime? Should I go down a little lower?

Welcome aboard, Ashley! What a wonderful way to escape the cooler temperatures in North Carolina this winter, to set off on a magical Disney Dream cruise to the warm Bahamian waters! My family and I love sailing during the winter with Disney, especially on the Very Merrytime sailings which take place leading up to Christmas. You'll have so much to enjoy both onboard and in Nassau and of course at Castaway Cay!

I recommend that you book a stateroom on a mid-level deck that is a bit quieter than being right under the hustle and bustle of the fun on the pool deck, which is Deck 11 on the Disney Dream. Especially if you'll be in an Oceanview Stateroom with a Verandah, you'll want to reduce the sounds from outside. My family and I love being on Deck 6 or 7 of the ships. They are quieter decks with nothing but staterooms, and they're only a floor or two away from all of the fun at the Oceaneer Club and Lab. Yes, there are elevators that take you everywhere you need to go, but with young kids, staying mid-ship just a floor or two above the clubs is great. For you, with mid-day naps, I'd probably opt for Deck 7 because you won't have the sound of the clubs right under you during the day as you would if staying on Deck 6, and it's only two short flights of stairs to the clubs. Believe me, your kids will be happily skipping down those steps when they're ready for the amazing activities that go on in the clubs. When it's time to pick them up, there's a quick walk back to your stateroom if the elevators are taking too long.

I hope those tips help as you book your cruise with Captain Mickey and his crew, Ashley! Stop back again if we can help with any other questions!
