HI, We are planning on coming to DW in Feb/13, for the 1st time. I have a boy - 8 and a girl - 6. We can only $ to do the park for 1 day, but really want to make sure we hit the parts that would interest the kids the most. Any suggestions?

    Hi Tracy,

While it is always difficult to choose between the four main Disney theme parks during a short visit, I highly recommend you spend your day in the Magic Kingdom.  It is the theme park that, I believe, best fits the ages of your children.  There are so many classic attractions at this park that a visit to Walt Disney World without setting foot in the Magic Kingdom seems terribly incomplete.

You will find enough attractions here to fill your whole day in February. I recommend that you start your day in Tomorrowland and then work counter-clockwise through Fantasyland, Liberty Square, Frontierland, and Adventureland.  Be sure to stop by Town Square Theater on Main Street U.S.A. to meet Mickey Mouse and the Disney princesses.  You may even want to consider scheduling a character dining experience at the Crystal Palace that day.  You can do so by calling (407) WDW-DINE today.  Keep in mind breakfasts are less expensive that meals later in the day.  Finally, end your day with a viewing of the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular.  Watching the fireworks erupt over Cinderella Castle is an extraordinary way to conclude your day in the most magical place on earth.

Let us know if you want us to put together a touring plan for your day in the Magic Kingdom.  There's so much to see and do in this park.  Your children will be delighted!

Best wishes for a magical day!
