Disneyland Resort Halloween

We are planning on coming to Disneyland the last week of September. Will the regular parades still happen during the Halloween spooktacular event? Will the rides stay Halloween themed the entire week?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rachel!

Hooray! It’s so awesome that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort this September! Since you’ll be coming at the end of the month, Halloween Time should be in full swing which means tons of fall and spooky décor, seasonal overlays on a few attractions, and Mickey’s Halloween Party on select nights. It’s a bit too early to know the entertainment schedule for parades and other offerings for this fall. Pixar Fest, including the Pixar Play Parade and Paint the Night, is scheduled to end on September 3rd and there hasn’t been any news released about what will come afterward. The Frightfully Fun Parade should still occur during Mickey’s Halloween Party if you plan on buying tickets to that event. Definitely keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the entertainment schedule as your travel dates approach to see what exciting things are in store for your visit.

As far as the seasonal overlays on attractions, I can tell you that once they open with the start of Halloween Time (usually mid-September), the overlays continue until Halloween. So you will certainly get to enjoy Haunted Mansion Holiday, Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. Additionally, every night in Disney California Adventure Park you can experience Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.

As you can see, there is lots of fun to be had during this time of year at the Spookiest Place on Earth! Happy planning!
