Hello. I am planning on booking a trip to WDW next Spring. Our daughter who is 6 yrs old has cerebral palsy and gets around in her wheelchair independently. Which Longhouse at the Polynesian has a wheelchair accessible room w/ a tub w/ handrails.

    Hi Michael!

How lovely that you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World for your family next spring.
You will absolutely love Disney's Polynesian Resort. It's my number one pick, hands down, for it's lush gardens, peaceful tranquility and incredible dining options, not to mention its fantastic location!

Rapa Nui longhouse is equipped with the majority of the accessible rooms at the Polynesian. There are now also accessible rooms in Niue, Hawaii, Tahiti and Tokelau. Within these longhouse options are two types of accessible rooms, one has a roll-in shower while the other has a tub with extra grab bars. Be sure to notate your specific request for bathroom type when making your reservation. This can be done by speaking with a Reservations Cast Member at (407) 934-7639 and asking to have a note placed on your file indicating your required preference.

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel. I hope you'll return again soon with additional questions you may have to begin planning your spring 2013 vacation.

Wishing your family, and especially your little Princess, a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World Michael! I hope you all return home with memories to last a lifetime!
