    Greta from NE Asked

Hello! We are planning to book a cruise in January/February. Our daughter turns 3 on April 4. Can she attend Oceaneer Club with her 5 year old brother? If not, what are my childcare options if we don't want them separated?

    Ahoy, Greta!
Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love planning a Disney Cruise vacation almost as much as the cruise itself, so I hope you'll enjoy the process as much as I do!
I am a huge fan of the amazing youth clubs aboard Disney Cruise Line because my children have loved every minute of their time there over the last ten years. You'll be happy to know their number one concern for all their young Guests is safety. For that reason, children must be three years old to attend. Since your littlest sailor won't quite be old enough to join her brother, I have two options for you to think about before you book your magical voyage.
The first option is to go ahead and reserve your January/February cruise and let your son experience the Oceaneer Club and Lab while your daughter enjoys the nursery onboard. While the Oceaneer Club and Lab is included in your cruise fare, "it's a small world" nursery! does charge a nominal hourly fee and reservations are required. Reservations can be made both online or on the ship, and it is first-come, first-served. My son was not quite old enough to join his sister in the youth clubs on our first sailing, but he adored visiting the nursery. I especially enjoyed the two-way glass so I could check in on him while he played there.
Your second option is to consider a cruise that sails after April 4 so both your sailors can be together. It's only a few months so that may work for you if you have some flexibility with your schedule.
I'm so glad you cruised by with your question, Greta. Please write back if we can assist you again.
    Have a magical day!
