We are planning a birthday trip this April for our soon to be 5yr old. We will also have our 10month old with us also. As far as making her actual birthday special and set apart from the other days spent at Disney what do you recommend?

    Hi Kim!

There is no better place to celebrate a birthday than at Walt Disney World!  We celebrated our daughter's 4th birthday there!  She is now 9 and her birthday celebration at Disney is still one of her favourite Disney vacation memories.  There are a lot of things you can do to set apart her special day from your other vacation days.

A character breakfast is a great way to start.  We began our daughters birthday celebration at Chef Mickey's.  The characters were very excited to celebrate with us!  If your daughter has a favourite princess then Cinderella's Royal Table would be a great choice.  We brought with us a birthday card for all the characters to sign.  It made for a great souvenir.

Once you are at the parks pick up a free Happy Birthday button at Guest Services.  You will be stopped by countless Cast Members throughout the day who will wish your daughter Happy Birthday!

You can bring some decorations from home to decorate your room while she is sleeping or you can have the dream makers at Disney florist do it for you.  You can visit their website at
    www.disneyflorist.com for ideas and prices.

If you are planning any table service meals that night you can order a custom birthday cake (they only need 48 hours notice).  Or when you arrive at your dinner you can order a traditional birthday cake.

I hope your daughter's birthday is as magical as my daughters was!  Have a magical time!
