Hi. We are planning to have bfast at the Grand Floridian (1900 Park Fare) at 8:15 and I booked the Kilamanjaro Safari for 10:20. Is that enough time to eat and get to the park? We have a 3 and 6 year old so not much lingering at meals. ; )

    Hi Megan,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you have an advanced dining reservation at 1900 Park Fare. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is indeed grand and the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare is so much fun!

First things first, it is possible. Here are my suggestions to make it work. First, arrive by 8:00 a.m. to check-in. Even with a dining reservation, we always had to wait a few minutes (or more) to be seated at 1900 Park Fare. Second be sure to plan your transportation accordingly. If taking the bus, know where the bus stop is before heading that direction. If you are on the bus by 9:45 a.m., you should arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park between 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Kilimanjaro Safaris is a bit of a hike from the entrance at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Given the ages of your little ones, it might take you 20 minutes to traverse the park to get to the attraction. You should arrive in enough time to use your Fast Pass+.

Megan, of course, all sorts of events might converge to prevent you from arriving on time. Keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for traffic. While I would not want you to rush through breakfast, I also know that the earlier you can leave, the less likely it will be for you to miss that Fast Pass+. I also hope that you plan to see the Festival of the Lion King show and take an expedition on Pandora - The World of Avatar. It truly is breathtaking!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
