We are planning an August, 2016 trip and staying at POP. I've been told by a few people that the 50's building is now considered a PREMIUM price room. Can anyone confirm? We stayed there last August, 2014 and we paid standard room rates. Thx

Hey there Stacey, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You sure are planning ahead for your 2016 trip. That warms a Disney mom's heart!

I wasn't sure if there were any changes on the horizon for which rooms are considered preferred for Disney's Pop Century Resort, so I called Walt Disney World and spoke to a Cast Member about it. She reassured me that rooms in the 50s section of the resort are still in the standard category, and that they will continue to be so for your trip. The 60s building, which is closer to the front desk, is the preferred section.

I hope this helps you plan a groovy time at Walt Disney World, Stacey. Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions. We love to help!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
