We are planning on attending the Star wars galactic dessert party. Are there other food options besides just desserts are there appetizers? Are there any sugar-free or low sugar desserts?

    Hi Jenny,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

A friend of mine experienced the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Disney's Hollywood Studios a few weeks ago and, based on her description of the event, I’ve added it to our “must do” list for our next visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

One of the biggest reasons why is because of the sheer variety of food that was offered at this reception. From what she tells me, it wasn’t just a buffet filled with sweet treats, but also included lots of savoury items, including various kinds of cheese, veggies, cold meats, flatbreads and dips. I usually prefer those kinds of offerings to dessert, so I’m really excited to try this one during my next visit.

As for low sugar or sugar-free desserts, my friend also says that she saw lots of fruit but she doesn’t remember seeing anything specifically designated as a “low sugar” dessert.

Of course, the menu is always subject to change at any time at this and any other dessert event at Walt Disney World Resort. When you arrive for your dessert reception, please don’t hesitate to ask about the various offerings and what their ingredients are. You can also reach out to the Special Dietary Requests team in order to get more information about your options during this event.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
