We are planning to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween with a toddler this year and I am wondering if most visitors wear costumes.

    Hi Danielle!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is a great way to safely trick-or-treat Disney style!  The evening includes an adorable parade, "Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade," where the characters are all dressed up in costumes, and a special fireworks display, "HalloWishes," which is my favorite fireworks display at Disney.  Perhaps the best part of the evening is trick-or-treating throughout the Magic Kingdom.  Seriously, what could be more fun!  Be sure to pick up a MNSSHP guide when you enter the park for parade and fireworks times, trick-or-treating stops and character meet and greet locations.

As for costumes, you will see people in full-blown costumes, no costumes and everything in between!  By all means, feel free to dress up if the to help get in the spooky spirit!  If you or your tot will be wearing costumes, I recommend keeping them light weight, as the weather in the early Fall is still generally quite warm in central Florida.  I live in the Northeast, and usually look for the heaviest costumes I can find so my kids don't freeze while trick-or-treating.  This doesn't work well at Disney!

The Party is very popular, so if you intend to dine in the park while you attend, be sure to make advanced dining reservations as soon as possible by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

Have a Happy Halloween and enjoy the party!
