We are planning to attend the Christmas party before heading out on a cruise, spending 1 night at Port Orleans Riverside. Should I book the flight arriving at 11 am or 1 pm? We want to make sure and get in Magic Kingdom at 4 pm.

    Howdy from a Fellow Texan!

Thanks for bringing your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My family had a similar plan last year of landing at the airport, taking Disney's Magical Express to our resort and heading straight to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!

I would certainly recommend taking the flight that arrives earlier in the day. We all know air travel can have hiccups along the way and I wouldn't want a small delay to throw a wrench in all your planning! For Disney's Magical Express, from the time the bus leaves you can be at your resort in as little as 30 minutes, but depending on the number of Guests on board and total number of stops, it's always best to budget around 75 minutes for the trip. In addition to that, you'll also want to take into consideration the time it will take you to travel from Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside to Magic Kingdom. I think it's always best to plan for an early arrival rather than being stressed and feeling you are on the clock.

Denise, I hope this helps when planning your itinerary. Please come back and visit us again!
