planned a trip for 4-19thru4-26 ds 3 and fiance for his very 1st visit..how much of a mistake was it to plan that week in april i dont want to overwelhm him with heavy crowds...i really want him to enjoy everything disney has to offer..LOVE THE PANEL!!!

While April can be an extremely busy time at Walt Disney World, you will be avoiding Easter weekend which is when the crowds will be at their peak.  You will also be arriving at the end of school vacation week for many schools on the east coast.  So you may find that the crowds thin out as your week progresses.

If you've already made plans for your vacation, don't stress out about it.  It may take a little extra planning on your part, but the two of you can still have a magical time.  I would suggest making advanced dining reservations  (407-939-3463) for any table service meals that you may want to enjoy.

Also, when crowds start to get heavy in the parks, consider taking a break.  If you are in the Magic Kingdom, hop onto the monorail and visit the Grand Floridian.  From there you can take a nice, relaxing walk to the Polynesian.  If you're in EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can get to the Boardwalk area by boat or on foot.

Above all, relax and enjoy spending time together.
