We are planing our 2nd trip to DW for early Feb 2014. We hesitant to try a new resort since we loved the CBR so much. What would you recommend between AOA and POR - our son will be 5 and our daughter 8.

    Hi, Nathalie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on planning your second visit to Walt Disney World Resort! I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. I personally think it's fun to try new resorts because each one gives you a different type of vacation experience.

I've recently stayed at both Disney's Art of Animation and Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside. They are wonderful resorts but are quite different in terms of style and theming, amenities, dining and recreation. Port Orleans - Riverside is a moderate level resort with a great variety of recreational activities and larger rooms than the standard rooms available in the Little Mermaid section of Art of Animation. There is also a table-service restaurant at Port Orleans - Riverside in addition to a food court.

While I love Port Orleans - Riverside, I have a 7-year-old daughter who really wants to return to Art of Animation for another stay there this November! She is a big fan of the pools at Art of Animation, particularly the Big Blue Pool with its incredible theming and water play area. She also likes all the fun details featured in the Little Mermaid rooms. The Landscape of Flavors food court is one of the best on Disney property and there is a Character Artist who leads a drawing class twice daily in Animation Hall.

With children ages 5 and 8, I would definitely recommend Art of Animation for your February 2014 stay! Come visit us again here at the Moms Panel with any other questions as you contine your vacation planning.
