We are planing our 1st time to wdw in Aug 2013, we are staying at pop country, hubby said it takes a few days to go through all parks. We are staying for 6n,7d. Is that gonna be enough time to see everything. We have 19 yr girl, & 16yr boy.

    Hi Tammy,

To put things in perspective, I've been visiting Walt Disney World for over thirty years and I still haven't seen everything.  There's really no way to see and do everything on one Walt Disney World vacation.  However, I think seven days is a reasonable length of time for your first visit to the most magical place on earth.  Your children are old enough to experience long and active days.  You'll be amazed at all that you'll be able to see and do!

As a strategy for making the most of your visit, I suggest you take advantage of Extra Magic Hours when they are available.  Also, be sure to make advance dining reservations 180 days in advance of your arrival so that you can dine at the restaurants that most interest you.  Include at least one character dining experience even though your kids are teens.  Plan to spend two days in Epcot so that you can fully explore both Future World and World Showcase.  Finally, have a family meeting before you go so that each person can list the top three things they wish to do while in Florida.  Then plan your itinerary accordingly so that everyone's wishes can be accommodated.

Please feel free to pop back in to the Moms Panel site whenever you feel you might need some additional guidance.  We'd be happy to help with any aspect of your trip.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
