Planing to celebrate moms 60th bday. Family of 5 will b at that moment: 3 month old, 3y old my husband mom and me. trying to see the best way to enjoy a 4 day approx time. prefer AC for most activities since is HOT in July. what to do? we all love Disney

    Hi Luisa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Birthday celebrations at the Walt Disney World Resort are my favorite. How exciting to celebrate such a special birthday with your mom!

My family has visited during July on several occasions. The heat can be fierce. Our strategy is to get to the parks very early and leave soon after lunch. We head back to the resort to rest or get in the pool. Then, we eat dinner at the resort, a park or Disney Springs.

We love to make pre-park opening dining reservations at Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. We get in the park early, then do our first three Fast Pass+ selections back to back, typically from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. We may book a fourth "rolling" Fast Pass+ or just head back to the resort after enjoying lunch in the park.

When making our Fast Pass+ selections, we consider walking distance between attractions and either make selections in the same vicinity or make them in a geographically friendly order. For example, our girls love Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Since those are in different sections of Magic Kingdom, we typically do Space Mountain First, then Tomorrowland Speedway and, finally, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

We also take advantage of table-service restaurants for breakfast and/or lunch while we are in the parks. Although it slows us down a tad, the extended air conditioned break is awesome and since you have a baby, and a 3-year old, you may need the break also!

Luisa, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, take advantage of that proximity to the parks and take an afternoon break between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Trust me, the pool is lovely at that time of day!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
