Our plane lands at 9:15, & we've been told we can take the shuttle to the resort, leave our luggage, & then catch a bus straight to the park. Realistically, as I plan FP+, when are we likely to be walking in the door at MK if we are staying at POR

    Hi Tamara,
It sounds like you are wanting to hit the ground running once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort! In my experience you should plan on about 2 hours from the times your airplane's wheels hit the ground until you arrive at your resort hotel. However, (don't you hate "howevers!?") many things can impact this time- how long it takes at baggage claim, your wait for Disney's Magical Express, bathroom stops, etcetera.  Then, once you arrive at your resort you may have to wait a bit for check-in and the bus to the Magic Kingdom. Once you do arrive at the Magic Kingdom, you will still need to proceed through bag check and the entrance touch points.  With all that said, if my family was landing at 9:15 a.m. and I wanted to select FastPass+ that afternoon/evening I would make them after 2:00 p.m.  This should allow time for possible delays along the way. Please note: many things could unexpected delays, but you can always modify your FastPass+ selections via the My Disney Experience mobile app. if need be.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have more questions, come on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel- we love to help!

    See ya real soon!

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
