Our plane doesn't leave till 7pm. Our kids are little, 2 and 4,. Any suggestions for what to do on the last day? Is going to one of the parks too much? Also, can we still use our dinning plan that day?

Hello Anna!  Thanks for asking your question here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  The last few hours at Walt Disney World is always so much fun and so sad all at the same time.

I typically don't visit a Park on our travel day at Walt Disney World, it is just too much for our family.  What we like to do is wake up and head to our Resort pool for a final swim.  After that, we head back to our room to gather up the last of our things and get ready for the day before checking out of the Resort.  We then leave our bags with Bell Services and head to Downtown Disney for the afternoon.  We love Downtown Disney and typically spend a few evenings there while on vacation.  On the last day, we do some shopping and grab those last minute got to have it souvenirs.  For lunch, we normally eat at Earl of Sandwich which is a Quick Service Credit on the Disney Dining Plan.  It is a great sandwich spot, perfect for lunch.  The line is always long, but don't let that deter you from dining there. Your Dining Plan Credits will absolutely work on your check out day until 11:59 p.m.  We also love using the last of our Snack Credits at Goofy's Candy Co. after lunch.  Grabbing a sweet treat is a perfect way to end a magical vacation.  After a morning of swimming, shopping and lunch it will be about that time to head back to your Resort and board the Magical Express for your journey home.  By having more of a relaxed travel day, I find that my daughter does much better on the flight or drive home.

You know your kids better than anyone, so do what you think is best for your family.  I will say, from experience, that having a relaxed travel day is a really nice way to end a vacation.  Have a wonderful time visiting Walt Disney World.  If I can answer anything else for you, please let me know.
