Our plane arrives to Orlando airport at 6:35 and we will be taking Magical Express to the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. The only available reservation for Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge is for 7:40. Do we have any chance of making it in time?

    Hi Kendra,

Disney's Magical Express is a wonderful service. It will whisk you from the airport to your Walt Disney World Resort, and when it is time for your vacation to end, it will bring you back to the airport.

I do think that you will be cutting it very close to make a reservation 65 minutes after you land. I think that a good estimate is about 90 minutes between the time you land and when you may get to your resort. There are a few variables which can impact this timing. First, you need to get from your gate at the airport to the Magical Express location. Next, there may be other guests in front of you, or you may be on a coach which waits a bit to fill up with guests. Once you leave, the drive is not more than 30 minutes or so to get to Walt Disney World; however, the coach may drop off guests at other Walt Disney Resorts before yours. All of these variables mean that you can probably expect to arrive at your resort between one and two hours after you land.

I would hate for you to be stressed out about making your reservation on time on the first night of your vacation. I suggest that you keep checking back at Disney Dining Online, or call them at (407) WDW- DINE (407-939-3463) to see if you can move the reservation a little later. Another option might be to eat at Roaring Fork, the quick-service location at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, that first night. Then you could move your Whispering Canyon Cafe reservation to another night. If you eat at Roaring Fork, you will not need to worry about when you arrive at the resort.

Have a wonderful time planning your vacation Kendra, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
