We plan on visiting Disney World in March, over spring break. Friends keep telling me we're crazy to go at that time due to the large crowds. We've also gone in June, which was pretty crowded, is spring break any worse than June?

Hi Cathy and fellow hoosier!  Walt Disney World is a vacation destination for families from all over the world.  It is impossible to know exactly what the crowds are going to be like for any given month, week, or day.  My advice is to keep the March date.  Yes, it is in the middle of spring break trips and tends to be more crowded but the weather is wonderful.  States have different breaks so it is not like you have all families down there during the same week.

Knowing that most U.S. school children have the summer months off, I avoid that time of year for a trip to Walt Disney World. The heat and humidity zap my energy and knowing that it will most likely rain daily just isn't as enjoyable as the general wonderful weather of March.

With a little planning you can have the best vacation possible even with crowds in the parks!
