We plan on traveling to Walt Disney world for our sons 3rd birthday. If he turns 3 while we are there do we have to purchase a ticket for the remaining days?

Hi Erica and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Birthday celebrations at the Walt Disney World Resort are so special, especially for our little Mouseketeers!

Guests under the age of three at the time of your check-in to your Disney Resort hotel will not have to have theme park tickets purchased for them, if they celebrate their birthday during their visit. In other words, your Mouseketeer will be celebrating as a two-year-old during the duration of this upcoming stay. The next time he visits, as a three-year-old, he will need a valid theme park ticket, but for this birthday blast, he’s good to go!

Erica don’t forget to pick up a complimentary celebration button at the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel, or at any Guest Services location throughout the resort! Mickey and his pals love to help you celebrate your special moments when you’re out and about at the theme parks!

As you continue to plan your summer visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, make sure to take a look at the Planning for Preschool & Little Ones web page. There are lots of tips in there to make sure you and your little one have a magical time!

Feel free to drop by again if you have any additional questions. Helping you with the details of your next visit is our pleasure!
