Hello, I plan on taking two youngest Grandchildren to DW when they are 5&6. Since we live in Calif. always make it a 10 day trip. Is this to long a trip for a 5&6 year old? If we wait to long we will be in our late 60s, and not able to keep up with

My philosophy, Eddie, is that it's all in the pace.  I've been taking my youngest babies (as young as one-year-old) to Disney parks forever.  In fact, my son was thirteen months old during his very first trip to Walt Disney World.  On that trip we stayed for nine nights.  One year later we went back to Disney World and stayed for two weeks.  We're coming all the way from Arizona so we, too, want to make sure we make those long flights worth our while!  What I've found is that the kiddos have no trouble keeping up as long as they're well rested.  To that end, I highly recommend that you carve out time in your schedule for afternoon breaks.  I also recommend never backing up a late evening with an early morning.  Within the span of a ten day trip you should have plenty of time to explore the parks while still allowing for leisurely afternoons by the pool, or napping.  I say go for it.  Those kiddos will keep you young!
