Hello! If we plan to spend three days at Disneyland and 2 days at California adventure do you have a sample itinerary that is spread out for how to enjoy the parks over a 5 day(1 park per day) pass. Our kids are 5 and 7. THANKS!

    Hello, Neil,

I recommend starting to map out your plan at a high level. Plan around any dining reservations you may have in place. Then, check out the entertainment calendar to select your must-do events. This might be fireworks, parades, or other shows that may not be offered every day such as Fantasmic! and Mickey and the Magical Map. Also, if your tickets include a Magic Morning early admission entitlement to Disneyland Park, I recommend taking advantage of that as early in your visit as possible. If you are staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, you will be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hour early admission every day of your stay. Early mornings are the best times for enjoying shorter wait times.

    Day One
My personal preference is to start a visit to the Disneyland Resort where it all began: in Disneyland Park. Strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. toward Sleeping Beauty Castle is always such a thrilling way to start your day! If you have Disney MaxPass included with or added to your tickets, you can take a brief opportunity to use the Disneyland app to make a Disney FASTPASS selection for later. Be sure to ask a Disney PhotoPass photographer to record your visit with an iconic photo in front of the castle or the Partners statue

    Disneyland Park Attractions
Some attractions that I would recommend for everyone to enjoy include Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. If you want to experience some of the more thrilling attractions, but some of your Mouseketeers don’t meet height requirements, use Rider Switch to help save time.

    Days Two Through Four
Alternating parks according to your dining schedule or early admission entitlements is a good plan. Long days at the parks can be tiring. So be sure to plan afternoon breaks to rest and recharge before for shows or more attractions in the evening. To keep everyone happy while waiting in lines, feel free to bring snacks with you.

    Disney California Adventure Park Attractions
Some of my favorite attractions include Toy Story Midway Mania!, Turtle Talk with Crush, and Mickey's PhilharMagic. Be sure to save time for meeting some of your favorite characters too.

    Last Day
We prefer to culminate our vacation with one last visit to Disneyland Park. It’s our chance to experience favorite attractions again. One of our favorite traditions is to pick a special treat to enjoy on our last day.

I hope your visit is magical, Neil. Please stop by again with any questions you may have.
