I want to plan something special for my grandson which will be 8 at the time. Also, my parents which this will be there last trip to wdw due to health reason for with my dad. Any suggestion since this will be the last trip for the five of us. Chris Ohio

    Hi Chris,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Although I am sorry to hear about your dad's health, I am sure he will appreciate all of the memories that you will make together on this trip!

For your grandson, I have a few suggestions. If he has not done the following, either would be a great option:

    • Book a pre-park opening breakfast reservation at Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Before your breakfast reservation, take your grandson to sign up for Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple (the sign-up location is near the restaurant). In the past, we have been able to sign-up by 8:20 a.m. We have usually had to report back to the sign-up location about 30 minutes prior to the show, so keep that in mind when selecting a training time. Remember your other Fast Pass+ selections when signing up for a training time. Our girls have LOVED training.
    • Take him to join The Pirates League or do the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage. Ahoy Matey!
    • Transform him into a valiant knight at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - Magic Kingdom or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - Disney Springs.
Chris, for the entire crew, you must see the Happily Ever After Fireworks at Magic Kingdom. My family just loves dining at California Grill atop Disney's Contemporary Resort to see the show. If you make a reservation for a time that is at least 30 minutes prior to the show, you should get seated before the fireworks begin. Request a window table once you check-in and the cast members will do their best. The view is spectacular!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
