Hi! I plan on making a trip to Disneyland with my husband. If i buy the tickets through the Disney website with the MaxPass Add on will I be able to use it at a later day? And do I have to pay the 10 dollar daily fee even if I already purchased the pass?

    Hey Vivian!

We’re so glad you found us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m glad to see you’ve bought your tickets ahead of time!

It sounds like you’re a planner just like me! Buying your tickets in advance is definitely a great strategy to avoid major hiccups down the road. If you want to take it to an expert level of planning, I would purchase your ticket with the Disney MaxPass option from the Disneyland Mobile App. When you do, the tickets will automatically be loaded onto your account and you won’t have to worry about remembering to bring your tickets to the parks or worry about misplacing them.

I’m so glad to hear that you’ll be adding Disney MaxPass to your tickets. I have added it to my family’s Annual Passports and it really makes maximizing your time in the parks a breeze. You’ll be able to skip the main line and make Disney FASTPASS selections right from your mobile phone! Included with Disney MaxPass is unlimited Disney PhotoPass photos from your pictures around the parks and rides.

If you were to buy tickets today, the current expiration date is 12/30/21. Single day tickets are now on a tier system. When you purchase your tickets the price you pay will be determined by what tier that day falls on. If you end up changing your plans, you will only be able to use them for the purchased tier or a lower tier. For example, if you bought a Tier 5 day, it would be valid for Tier 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 days. If you were to buy a ticket for a Tier 2 day then it’s only valid for Tier 2 and Tier 1 days. Otherwise you will have to pay the difference to use your ticket on a higher tier day. Worse case scenario, if you are not able to use the ticket before 12/30/21, you would still get the paid value and would only need to pay any price difference for a new ticket. As for Disney MaxPass, if you pay for that now it goes with the ticket and you will not need to purchase it again.

Well Vivian, that was a lot of information. I hope it makes your trip all that much better and it sounds like you’re already off to a great start!
