How do I plan fastpasses & dinner reservations when the boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance won't be determined yet? I've heard the window of return is being dropped to 1 hour.

    Bright Suns, Judy!

I am pleased to hear that you are planning a visit to Batuu! When we last escaped the First Order on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the return time for our boarding group was two hours. As you have indicated, you will need to check your board group return time window should you gain access to a boarding group during your visit. On two separate days we were able to access a boarding group and maintained our other plans.

On one day, we had an 8:00 a.m. advanced dining reservation at Hollywood & Vine. On that day, we got boarding group 38 and were called to return at 9:47 a.m. We had plenty of time to eat breakfast and then made our way to the attraction. Afterwards, we found the secret location of Savi's Workshop and followed the astute instructions of a Gatherer who helped us craft our lightsabers. Once we forged the bonds between lightsaber and builder, we took a break at Oga's Cantina and caught up with fellow travelers seeking to join the Resistance. On another visit to Batuu, we got boarding group 101. Since our FastPass+ selections were later in the afternoon, we were able to do our FastPass+ selections and then board the attraction that evening.

Since I also was not sure when our boarding group time might be, my strategy was to schedule FastPass+ selections in the afternoon or early evening with the hope that we would get a morning boarding group time or a later in the evening boarding time. Be sure to also download the My Disney Experience Mobile App so that you can track your plans.

Judy, whatever you do, make a plan and leave some time in between plans just in case you get called to defeat the First Order. The Resistance needs you!

    Good journey,
