    Cartier from PA Asked

Hi! Plan on going to DTD arrival day to do Disney Quest and bowling. Any other suggestions? Also does anyone know if ZARA will be open in August? I believe that's all, but I'm open to any and all suggestions for things to do our first day. Thanx MP!

Welcome back, Cartier! It sounds like you've got some great plans in the works with a visit to Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Disney Quest. While I try not to pay too much attention to rumors, several newspapers have reported that Disney Quest will be closing in the near future to make way for a new NBA experience. My fingers are crossed that it will be open for your August trip, and keep your eyes glued to the Disney Parks Blog for any additional information concerning closures and openings. Speaking of, I read on the Disney Parks Blog just this past May that Zara and seven other retailers would be coming soon to Downtown Disney as a part of the transformation into Disney Springs. No official opening dates for Zara have been released so I would just keep checking back.
We usually do Downtown Disney on departure day for a relaxed ending to a magical vacation. Here are some ideas:

*For our upcoming trip we plan to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the AMC Downtown Disney 24 theater. I remember celebrating birthdays here when I was younger, and it's still the best theater I've ever been to. The week before your trip you can check the website to see what is playing during your stay.

*Goofy's Candy Company has some mouth-watering treats. I always get a chocolate covered pineapple and a custom Mickey Rice Krispie treat. They also have many different flavors of frozen beverages for when its hot out.

*The Amphicar launches next to The Boathouse look like so much fun. I saw a couple of launches last May and have been set on trying it out. I also highly recommend The Boathouse. I've had lunch there and left with nothing but nice things to say.

Im running out of space, but if you need any more ideas come back and see us! Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
