If I want to plan the character breakfast at Paradise pier for later in the morning, how long will it take to walk from the parks to the hotel. We are staying on S. Harbor blvd and not at a Disney hotel.

Hi, Jen! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

A character breakfast at Disney’s PCH Grill sounds like a super fun and delicious idea! You’ll be glad to know that Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is just a short walk away from the parks. Normally, I would allow at least 15 minutes to walk from the park gates to the hotel. However, one thing to keep your eye on as your travel dates approach is any news on construction of the new Disneyland Resort Hotel that is slated to begin this year. Several establishments at the far end of the Downtown Disney District will be demolished to make way for the new hotel. This could very well impact the walking path from the parks to both Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel, so you might want to allot extra time just in case. Check the Disney Parks Blog and the Disneyland Resort website for any updates in the next few months.

Depending on your travel dates, you may get to experience the new Donald Duck’s Seaside Breakfast which is taking the place of the Surf’s Up! Breakfast with Mickey and Friends sometime this summer (an official date has not been released). The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet remains, but you’ll be able to meet and dance with Donald, Daisy, and Stitch. As with all character dining, advanced reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance online or by calling (714) 781-3463.

I hope this information is helpful! Please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you may have!
