Mom With Kids After Run

How would you plan the best experience for a family with 3 children b/t 3 and 6 from WDW. It is difficult to plan an itinerary to fit them without more info on each of the parks. Can anyone make any suggestions?

Hi Michelle!  All four of the Disney parks offers young children many fun activities and attractions to experience.  Each park will have character meet and greets as well as character dining.  Some families choose just a couple of the parks for their early visits with the kids thinking that in the future they can return and catch the missed ones.  Depending on how much time you have for your Disney vacation I like to suggest that families try to spend time in each to get the full Walt Disney World experience.  I certainly don't suggest that you come thinking you have to or will hit every attraction and ride that is offered.  That would be unrealistic and exhausting!

Click HERE to reach the Park Attractions page of the website.  On the left you can see where you can narrow your search.  At the bottom please note the RECOMMENDED AGES and click on that.  Check off the age that best fits your children and then you will see a list of what Disney recommends in each park.  This is a great place to start to make a list of what you want to see and do.  You can also filter the attractions using the HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS.

Head to the parks with your attraction list and try to study a park map before you go to become familiar with the layout for each.  You can see the park hours and also the entertainment schedules for each during your stay by clicking HERE. Check out the dining options in each park as well and secure some advanced dining reservations for a table service restaurant.  If you are not able to get a dining spot in a park look at locations close by in resorts so you are not spending all your time traveling from place to place.

As you plan and have more specific questions please don't hesitate to check back with the panel as we would love to help with your vacation!
