How to plan animal kingdom in one day with 4 year old twins? I am going there first time and will be travelling alone with my kids. Any suggestion and advice for this mom?

    Hi Sanchari,

Your children are going to love Disney's Animal Kingdom.  It is such a wild and wonderful place!

For your day at this theme park, I heartily recommend that you arrive at opening time and head directly to Kilimanjaro Safaris.  The lines for this attraction are shortest and the animals are most active in the early morning hours.  Then go to the Conservation Station where your kids can get up close with some very friendly, approachable animals.

Be sure to pick up a free Times Guide as you enter the park.  This listing of shows will be invaluable as you plan out your day.  Don't miss Finding Nemo-The Musical, Flights of Wonder, and Festival of the Lion King.  All of these performances are appropriate for four-year-olds.  The Times Guide also lists that times that the Disney characters will be available to meet guests at the greeting trails in Camp Minnie-Mickey.  Have your camera ready for some great photos of your children with Mickey and friends.  You might even want to bring an autograph book for each of your children.  The characters will sign their books as they pose for pictures.  These books make lovely keepsakes from your vacation.

Take your time and enjoy all the lovely sights at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  There's so much to explore here!

    Best wishes,
    Jill

PS.  Steer clear of It's Tough to Be a Bug and Dinosaur! at this theme park.  Both these attractions can be very frightening for small children.
