Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jen! I’m glad you’re hEAR and looking forward to becoming a pirate or mermaid!
Unfortunately, I have to tell you that guests over age 14 are not allowed to wear costumes in the parks (outside of
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party).
The Pirate’s League does offer festive costume hats and t-shirts themed and available for adults, but the full costumes you’ll see children wear are not offered for guests over 14. You can always Disneybound as a pirate, with a billowy blouse coupled with a tricorn purchased at the shop, or perhaps a belted hip sash. I always enjoy bringing out characters with my Parks wear!
I hope you enjoy your makeup and hair session. You can also book a
Character Couture look at the Grand Floridian Salon for a chance to become a princess in hair and makeup. Pair the Belle look with a yellow sundress and you’re ready for the ball! If I can assist you further in your magical vacation, please let me know. ~ Lindsey P.
