Can we take a picnic lunch or sandwiches for a park bench?

    Anne:

The answer to your question is one of the reasons I love Disney.

You can absolutely take your own food and beverage into the parks, no worrying over embarrassing the kids if you get caught!  Yes, there will be security at the gate to check your backpack, but they're not the food police!  In fact, Disney gives guidelines of how big a cooler you can take!

Our family typically camps at Fort Wilderness and will take a lunch into the park sometimes, especially Magic Kingdom, as there are tables outside The Plaza Restaurant and Casey's where we can sit. You can also go to the water-side tables down in front of The Plaza, but it's been designated a smoking spot, so it's less welcoming than it used to be.

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
