We have picked our resort for our Sept or Oct. 2012 visit, how soon should i book the rooms? what should we be deciding next, besides the exact dates?? we are 7 adults and 3 kids..need 3 rooms.. thanks for the help

    Hi, Jone!

Love the advanced planning; that will serve you well as you create your itinerary.

If you know your dates, and they are reasonably firm, I'd suggest that you book as soon as possible. While this is "far out," you can book now by calling (407) W-DISNEY, and working one-on-one with the Cast Member. Note, however, that prices are subject to change. You'll be booking under the 2011 price structure, and Disney does reserve the right to change those prices (in either direction!).

An advantage to booking as early as possible is to be in the system 180 days prior to the start of your trip. This is when you are permitted to secure Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) for as many - or as few!  of your meals as you'd like. Making these reservations as early as possible is crucial, particularly if you have a favorite character you'd like to dine with, or a restaurant experience you've always wanted to try. While you are working with the Cast Member to book your rooms, you can ask him/her for the date on which your 180-day window opens.

Good luck with your planning, and don't hesitate to come back to the Moms for more tips along the way!

    See you later, celebrator!
