I am a photographer with two days to visit WDW. I've been there several times, so want to use the solo time strictly for photography. Do you have suggestions for unique angles in any of the parks that I may not have thought of?

    Hi Chad!

Taking photos in Walt Disney World is one of my favorite things to do! Just ask my fellow Moms and they will tell you that I have a camera surgically attached to my arm!  You will have an incredible time taking photos on your solo trip because you can concentrate just on taking great photos. Here are 12 of my Walt Disney World photo tips for you:

    1. Look for picture opportunities that tell a story (take pictures that are worth 1,000 words)
    2. Don't take the normal tourist photos (straight on shot of Cinderella Castle).  Walk around to view things at different angles.
    3. Get down low to the ground to get a different perspective or angle to your shots
    4. Zoom in close to your subjects to photograph just a part of an object or scene
    5. Stop and take your time to look around before you press the shutter button
    6. After you take a picture take a step back and shoot the same scene again at a different angle
    7. Go early in the morning before the Parks open and be the last one out when the Parks close (you can get photos with little or no people in them)
    8. Use the Golden Hour light (just after Dawn and right before Dusk) for amazing pictures
    9. Don't be afraid of bringing your tripod to the Parks especially for nighttime fireworks and night landscape shots
    10. Photograph things that no one else is taking pictures of including the amazing details that are all around Walt Disney World
    11. Read up on photography techniques and look at other photographers' pictures of Walt Disney World to get ideas before your vacation
    12. Read your camera manual and be very familiar with your camera settings (you can even practice taking different types of pictures when you are at home)

I hope that you make amazing digital memories on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
