Do most people think the dining plans are worth the price. Which one (Disney Dining or Quick Service) would you recomend with a 5 year old boy?

    Hi Stacey,

I don't think I can speak for everyone, but I know that several of my friends here at the Moms Panel are big fans of the Disney Dining Plan.  We use the basic Disney Dining Plan nearly every time we travel to Walt Disney World.  It was an especially good deal when my son was under ten years old.  I can't imagine a more cost-effective way to feed a child while enjoying the World.

If I were you, I'd choose the Disney Dining Plan that includes one table service, one quick service, and one snack credit per person, per day rather than the Quick Service Dining Plan.  Character dining experiences like those at the Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, and 'Ohana are all covered with just one table service credit each.  I bet your five year-old would love any of these meals.

The Disney Dining Plans, in general, are so convenient to use.  Paying for the plan in advance of your arrival means that you don't have to reach for cash every time you or someone in your travel party wants a snack or a quick meal.  I've found that it really helps me manage my travel budget better.

I hope you find this information helpful.  Don't hesitate to post more questions if we may be of further assistance.
