Some people in our party wants to try African cuisine; where is the best place at Animal Kingdom Park to do so without spending a lot of money? Thanks.

    Hi Christy,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Exploring new cuisines is one of my family's favorite activities at Walt Disney World, and you've got some good, economical ways to do that at Animal Kingdom.

Head to the Harambe Market, an outdoor food court with a variety of African-influenced foods and beverages. We love the Grilled Vegetable Stack, which comes with a green papaya slaw and a black-eyed pea salad. The Karubi Ribs, with African spices, are delicious as well. My daughters always try one of the African sodas.

You also can find interesting tastes at the kiosks around the park, though most of them are Asian- rather than African-inspired. If you want to sit and relax, you can find some reasonably priced small bites (along with yummy cocktails) in the Nomad Lounge at Tiffins.

If you decide African-influenced food is for you, I highly recommend all the restaurants at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Sanaa is one of our top picks and is modestly priced. Don't miss the bread service with its nine condiments. The buffet at Boma is incredible and gives you a chance to take small tastes to explore a variety of new food. And the signature dining at Jiku is a treat.

Good luck on your taste adventure, Christy. I hope you and your family find some new favorite flavors.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
