Family planning a trip

There are some people in our group who won't/can't ride some of the roller coasters so we plan to use rider switch. If we have fp and want to use rider switch as well, does everyone need a fp or just the first party riding?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Julie! Combining FastPass+ reservations and Rider Switch Service is something my family can’t do without! We have a little girl that is either too small or too scared to ride many big ticket attractions.

You can make FastPass+ reservations for the “first set” of Riders. Please know that Rider Switch Passes are now digital, and given to the Chaperone of the waiting child plus a buddy, so the Chaperone doesn’t have to ride alone. The return window for the Rider Switch Pass will be the current wait time minus about 10 minutes, and will display on your My Disney Experience Mobile App. If the Chaperone rotates, you’ll have a breezy time on rides and with FastPass+reservations on your vacation. My family of four also has a big-kid brother that gets to be the “buddy” on every ride, meaning he gets a double ride on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, his favorite attraction!

If I can help you find multi-generational attractions like Peter Pan’s Flight or Frozen Ever After, please let me know. I love visiting with my kids and my parents. The magic is real for all generations! ~ Lindsey P.
