There are 4 people in our group. We will be buying a 4 day base park ticket. Can I add a 5th day for only 2 of us? My daughter and I would be going to MK while my husband and son go to Disney Springs. If not, can 2 of us go to one park and 2 to another?

    Hi Mandi,

I hope that you and your family are looking forward to visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and are counting down the days until all of the magic and fun begins!

I'm happy to let you know that yes, you'll be able to upgrade just two of your tickets so that you and your princess can visit Magic Kingdom Park together while your guys enjoy the shopping, dining, and entertainment of Disney Springs. You'll simply want to take your tickets to the Lobby Concierge at your Disney Resort hotel, a theme park ticket window, or Guest Relations and as long as your tickets haven't expired and have at least one theme park day remaining on them, a Cast Member will be happy to upgrade your tickets for you. You'll simply need to pay the difference between the tickets that you currently have and the ones to which you'd like to upgrade.

As for whether or not you're allowed to split up, yes, you are definitely free to use your tickets however you'd like! Sometimes families head in different directions for a bit so that every Mouseketeer's Disney dreams can come true! Did you know that you'll even be able to make separate FastPass+ selections so that you may all skip the standby lines? When you go to make your choices, you'll select the Guests in your FastPass+ planning party, so if you decide to visit two different theme parks, you'll simply set up the girls' and boys' choices separately. I'm sure you'll all have lots of wonderful stories to share with each other about your day when you meet back together!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mandi, and please let us know if we can answer any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
