Christmas on Main Street

Do you have to pay for parking at the parks if you are staying on-site in Disney World? Do you think it would be easier to drive back to the park for a dinner reservation for evening or still use the bus, staying at French quarters the week 12/25-12/30/16?

    Hi Carol,

A Christmas vacation. How wonderful! It is my family's favorite time of the year to visit, and we always look forward to enjoy some magical time during Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. Candlelight Processional is a must for us, and the best way to experience it is with a Candlelight Processional Dining Package.

We always drive from New Jersey, but during the last few years, we no longer drive to the Theme Parks and instead use Complimentary Resort Transportation. We always get the Park Hopper Option with our Theme Park Tickets, because we like to have dinner at one of the many restaurants in Epcot. It's easier to move around between Theme Parks and Resort hotels.

One of the many Disney Resort Hotel Guests Benefits is complimentary Standard Parking at the Theme Parks, so you may choose to drive, however traffic can be a bit hectic during the busiest time of the year. My suggestion is to just use the available transportation. Sit back, relax, and let them do the driving.

One last tip: if you haven't yet, make sure you have advanced dining reservations. The easiest way is with the My Disney Experience mobile app. Feel free to come back with any other questions you may have, and in the meantime, my best wishes for a Happy Holiday Season.
