In past there used to be special offers for birthdays, is it available this year too? And do I need kids birth certificate to get the birthday buttons.

    Hi Meenal,

Walt Disney World is a great place to celebrate birthdays and other occasions, whether you are a child or a grown-up.

The free admission on your birthday promotion ended in 2009, but there are still lots of ways to celebrate.

Birthday buttons are available at guest services in the theme parks or at the front desks of the resort hotels. Other celebration buttons include First Visit, Happy Anniversary and Family Reunion.

No ID is required, and the buttons are free.

It's great fun to have cast members and other Disney guests wish you Happy Birthday all day when you're wearing the button, regardless of age. I saw a man proudly noting that he was celebrating his 80th recently.

Sometimes, cast members will offer special surprises to birthday boys and girls.

If you make advanced dining reservations, you can note that you are celebrating an occasion at the meal. The Add a Celebration area is near the bottom of the confirmation page. It's also possible to have a personalized cake delivered during your meal at most of the table service restaurants. You need to order that 48 hours in advance.

You can find instructions on ordering a cake and other suggestions for birthday merchandise and experiences on the Customize Your Special Occasion page on the main Disney website

I hope that helps. Enjoy your time with your family!
