In the past we have only purchased base tickets with no park hopper. Our current resort/ticket package includes a park hopper. If wanted to change my tickets to a base ticket only (no park hopper) would I lose my Fast Passes we already have in place?

Hi Danielle! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is so great to hear from you again.

I see that your trip is just around the corner! You must be getting so excited. There are so many new and fun offerings during our Awaken Summer at the Walt Disney World Resort. One of the events that I am looking forward to most is Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park at night. There is so much fun to be had such as Kilimanjaro Safaris at night and the Tree of Life will come to life and leave you amazed!

In theory if you contact Disney and are able change your Theme Park Tickets to the Base Theme Park Ticket option you shouldn’t lose your FastPass+ return times. The system should recognize that you will still have tickets therefore it shouldn’t take any of these times away. However just to be on the safe side, when you contact Disney be sure to let them know that you do have FastPass+ return times planned out and ask them to verify that they are still linked to your current Theme Park Ticket option.

I hope that you have an Unforgettable time this summer! Be sure to stop back and see us real soon. We love helping guests just like you plan magical vacations!
