Hi- My party is two adults, one 9 year old and one 2 year old. Can we use rider swap in such a way as to extend our fast passes? How does that work? If I do that will my 9 year old still be able to ride with both adults? Thanks

    Hi Jenny,

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation!  One of the most appealing features for my family about vacationing in Walt Disney World is the great fun my children all have together despite their large age range. The Rider Switch service has greatly increased all of my family's enjoyment of the attractions and reduced the amount of time it takes for us "taking turns" staying with the littlest ones in our family.

The Rider Switch service is independent of the FastPass+ service.  You may use the Rider Switch service for select attractions noted in the previous link.  In your family's case, the adult who waits with the 2 year old may take another Guest along with them when it is their turn to go on the attraction.  Therefore your 9 year old may indeed experience the attraction with each parent separately.  The above link outlines the Rider Switch service in detail.  If your 9 year old is anything like my older children, she/he will LOVE it when your 2 year old is too short to experience some attractions.

Jenny if you have any questions about how the Rider Switch service operates, please make sure you speak to the Cast Members at the attractions.  In many cases the adult waiting with the smaller child is allowed to go through the FastPass+ queue when it is their turn to ride.  However Rider Switch service is not the same as FastPass+ service and its procedure can change at any time.

I hope this clears up your question about Rider Switch service at Walt Disney World.  Please let us know if you have any further questions.
