We have a party of 10 not staying in a Disney property. MUST we have magic bands in order to get fast passes? We do have our admission cards.

    Hi Patricia,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to plan a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort with a group. Traveling with a group can be crazy, but for me, it is always fun! If you are the trip organizer, good luck.

You can certainly use your admission cards to access your Fast Pass+ attractions - a MagicBand is not a requirement. To make your Fast Pass+ selections, just be sure to create a My Disney Experience Account, add everyone in your group to your "My Family & Friends List" and link each person's admission ticket by clicking on "My Reservations and Tickets" then "Link Tickets." Once you have everyone's tickets linked in My Disney Experience and your Fast Pass+ selection window has opened, you can start making Fast Pass+ selections for the group.

Definitely make those Fast Pass+ selections in advance. When I travel with extended family or friends, we always plan our Fast Pass+ selections in advance, then make them as soon as our selection window opens which, in your case, will be 30 days prior to your trip since you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. When I am planning with family, I always make all of the dining and Fast Pass+ reservations. I share plans with those who have a My Disney Experience Account and I print a hard copy of our itinerary for those who do not.

Patricia, I do hope you make dining reservations! With such a large group, you definitely want to make reservations. One of my favorite restaurants in Magic Kingdom is Be Our Guest. They do accept reservations and they offer order-ahead dining for breakfast and lunch so that you can place your order prior to your arrival!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
