in our party of 9, 1 may have to leave early. What happens to dining plan (Can he get only 3 days because he is leaving? Can the rest of his family stay with the plan?)  Also could our 3 rms be 2 after he leaves?

    Hi Joan,

December is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, especially when all of it is decked up for the holidays, with decorations and special events. It is my favorite time of the year.

When you book a Magic Your Way Vacation Package with a Disney Dining Plan, the options are added for the guests in the room for the length of stay. Although you can initially decide on the length of days for theme park tickets, the dining plans are based on the number of nights of stay.

A few years ago while I was attending a convention, my older son had to leave a few days earlier than the rest of us. We had a package that included the Disney Dining Plan, and therefore we ended up with extra meal credits, which we used for some signature restaurants.

When you reserve more than one room, you are reserving multiple packages. You could make a reservation for just that one person that ends earlier. In that case, you won';t pay extra for neither room nor dining. Also, that person could have less days for theme park tickets and would be able to select FastPass+ for just those days, while the rest of you staying longer, will be able to play more.

Hopefully this will get you some ideas to work around it. In the meantime, if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
