Hi. My party consists of 2 families. And are looking to get 2 rooms in the art of animation resort. Would it be easier to book separately or as one party?

    Hi Lissa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you brought this question to us!

When we travel with others, I prefer that each family have separate reservations because I like to pay separately. Even with separate reservations, you can connect with each other through your My Disney Experience Accounts. Once you connect through My Family & Friends, you can make plans together.

With the Walt Disney World resort, each room will receive its own confirmation number. Since each family will have a separate confirmation number, each family can link a credit card to the reservation. Once you connect via My Family & Friends in your My Disney Experience Accounts, one person can manage Dining and Fast Pass+ reservations for everyone. If you dine together, remember that parties of six or more are automatically charged a gratuity.

When we traveled with my mom's sister and her family, we booked separate rooms. I connected everyone to my individual My Disney Experience account and made Dining and Fast Pass+ reservations for everyone. Typically, we all rode the same rides and dined together. But, we also separated from time to time.

If you would like your rooms to be close together, I suggest that you note that request when making your reservation. At Disney's Art of Animation Resort, both families will need to book the same type of room if you want your rooms to be near each other. Remember that requests are not guaranteed.

Moms Panel Tip - If you purchase one Memory Maker, each family can share photos through your My Disney Experience Accounts. One person can download all photos.

    Have a magical trip!
