2 part question...Planning a trip for my Mom's 65th / first visit. Q1) Is the public bus service for disney resorts wheelchair accessible or is there a separate bus? Q2) Which resort is better for timing/direct bus service to MK - AoA, Pop, or All-Star?

Alison, what an absolutely fantastic birthday gift for your mother. I am so excited for you both, and the wonderful memories you will be making!

The bus transportation to the parks is able to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs. If there are others ahead of you with wheelchairs and the max is met, you would need to wait for the next bus. Your mother will be able to get onto the bus while in her wheelchair before other guests are allowed on. She does have to transfer to a bus seat once she is on the bus.  The driver will secure the wheelchair for you so it is nice and safe.

My family frequently stays at Disney's Pop Century Resort and we have been extremely pleased with the availability of buses to each of the parks.  We like that there is only one bus stop for this resort, so there are not multiple stops made once you arrive 'home'.  Disney's Art of Animation resort also only has one bus stop.

    Happy planning, Alison!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
