Part of our party is arriving early in the day. The rest are arriving in the evening. If we have an advance dining reservation at a different resort and time is a factor in the evening, can we just take the Magical Express to that resort? Thanks.

    Hi there Daniel,

You can certainly ask to be dropped of at a different resort, but it's gonna be a bit tricky since you won't know for sure until the last minute.  Normally, if you already knew for sure, I would suggest you call Disney's Magical Express Hotline to request your reservation be changed to reflect the desired drop off location.  Since this is not your "home" resort, you would have to claim your own luggage from baggage claim and keep it with you as luggage delivery is only available when you're traveling to your home resort. It's likely that your "home" resort and your "dinner" resort are on two different bus routes.  Your luggage cannot travel on a different coach without you.

Since you won't know for sure, I would recommend you wait until you arrive at MCO and then explain the situation to one of the DME Cast Members at the welcome desk if you do indeed need to be dropped off at another resort to make it your meal on time.  Also, please keep in mind, cabs are readily available at the Disney Resorts so it might make sense to go ahead and board your original Magical Express bus to your home resort, check-in, and then take a taxi to your dining reservation!  Taxis provide fast and reliable transportation when you're in a pinch, and this way, you'll be all checked in and can rest assured cowing your luggage will be conveniently delivered to your resort.

Hope that makes sense!  Please don't hesitate to write back with the specifics of your evening and I will happily provide travel time estimates!

    Best Wishes,
